Russian long jumper Olga Kucherenko cleared an impressive 6.90m at the 17th Miners Day meeting in Velenje on Thursday.

The 17th Miners Day meeting in Velenje, a European Athletics Outdoor Classic Meeting and Slovenia's top international event, saw Russian long jumper Olga Kucherenko fly out to 6.90m on Thursday.

Kucherenko, the 2010 European Athletics Championships bronze medallist, also had a jump of 6.85m in her series. Serbia's former European junior Championships silver medallist Ivana Spanovic was second with a season's best of 6.53m.
